On Sunday, Monaco secured their second win in as many matches by defeating Brest 2-1 at the Stade Louis II. The victory was all the more impressive given that it came against a team who had only lost one game in their previous nine outings.

The match started off with Monaco taking control and creating several chances for themselves, but they were unable to convert them into goals. However, after 57 minutes, Monaco's attacking trio of Fabinho, Thiago Silva and Benjamin Mendy combined to create a goal-scoring opportunity. Mendy capitalised on the chance and slotted home the equaliser from close range.

In the second half, Monaco continued to dominate and created several more opportunities, including a penalty which they missed. However, they were able to turn the tide in their favour just before half-time when Fabinho converted from the spot after being fouled in the box.

With the score level at 1-1, Monaco continued to press and create chances, but Brest were determined not to concede any further goals. In the 89th minute, Monaco's forward Adrien Rabiot scored his first goal for the club to secure the win and move Monaco up to fourth place in Ligue 1.

This is a big win for Monaco and a morale boost ahead of their next game against Strasbourg on Tuesday. They will be hoping to continue their good form and push for a top-four finish this season.
