In the final minute of normal time, Borussia had the advantage as they took the lead through a header by Brandt. However, Hoffenheim fought back and equalized through a header by Marcus Harnisch. Despite this, the tie continued to be tight until the final whistle, where Borussia won the game 2-1.

Borussia Dortmund's victory comes following a strong run of form under new manager Jürgen Klopp. The team is now unbeaten in their last seven games and will look to build upon their success against Hoffenheim in their next match.
